The creation of humans

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit); and man became a living soul. -- Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. -- Job 33:4 (NKJV)
Thus declares the LORD, Who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him... -- Zechariah 12:1 (ESV)
The purpose of humans
The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live yon all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us, for
"In him we live and move and have our being" (Job 12:10)
-- Acts 17:26-28 (ESV)

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. -- 1 Corinthians 1:9 (ESV)
